Updates from PA Ancestors

Hello Reader!

I know it’s been a few months since you heard from me. I went quiet to focus on something big for Pennsylvania genealogists.

But I’m back, and I want to reconnect with the PA genealogy researchers I care about most.

I’m Denyse Allen — you may know me from Pennsylvania Vital Records Research or Archives in Pennsylvania for Genealogy Research or my podcast Your Pennsylvania Ancestors. Since 2019, I’ve been helping researchers like you find exactly what they need in Pennsylvania’s archives and records.

I spent the last few months organizing everything I have on Pennsylvania’s Colonial and Revolutionary Era records. The reason this matters is simple: if you’re researching an ancestor from 1681-1790, the records you need are scattered across state archives, county courthouses, microfilm collections, and out-of-print published volumes. Most researchers never find them. Or they find fragments and don’t know how to piece them together.

Here’s what I want to tell you: On March 8 — Pennsylvania’s birthday — something is launching. Something special. Something that 250 years into Pennsylvania’s history, genealogists have been waiting for.

But before I tell you what it is, I want to let you know that I’ve also been updating PAancestors.com with fresh resources for colonial era research. I hope you take a look and find them helpful.

Welcome back. Let’s discover your Pennsylvania ancestors.
